Armada Aviation Capital expands activities outside of Middle East & North Africa

Jul 15, 2010 - LONDON - Armada and WhiteSands Aviation announced the continued expansion of their joint consultancy business, Armada Aviation Capital (“AAC”). AAC currently provides consultancy and advisory services to aircraft investors, airlines and banks in the Middle-East & North Africa (“MENA”) region. From 18 July 2010, these services will also be provided globally under the Armada Aviation Capital brand.

AAC’s core advisory areas are:

Aircraft Financing – (equity, debt, PDP financing and sale & leaseback)

Aircraft Lease Negotiation

Aircraft Sourcing, Remarketing, Sales and Delivery/Redelivery

Aircraft Fund & Asset Management – (incl lessor and airline start-up consultancy)

In early 2010, AAC was mandated by Gulf Finance House to provide consultancy services to TranSAL Capital - a new sharia’a-compliant transportation and logistics leasing group in the MENA region (activities include aviation, shipping, rail and port infrastructure). AAC established the aviation leasing division of TranSAL and continues to advise and support TranSAL Capital in this ongoing project and other regional activities

As part of its growth plan, and in tandem with its TranSAL Capital and other MENA-related ventures, AAC is now expanding its business and advisory activities outside of the MENA region. Effective 18 July 2010, AAC and WhiteSands Aviation have agreed that all their future aircraft finance & leasing advisory and asset management services globally will be provided under the name of Armada Aviation Capital.

The principals at AAC, Sean Cleghorn, Erik Dahmen, Nadim Fatalleh and Peter Huijbers, have over 80 years of combined experience in the aircraft financing & leasing industry and, between them, have acquired, financed, leased, sold and delivered over 240 commercial aircraft.

Armada was founded in 2009 in Ireland. As part of the expansion of Armada Aviation Capital, the Armada offices in Dublin will close in August 2010.

WhiteSands Aviation Limited is a UK-based aircraft finance consultancy firm established in 2007.
